I had a very bad experience here. I placed a very large to go order (around $200). I got there to pick it up and the charged me a 15% gratuity. I've never heard of this and they didn't tell me when I placed the order. So, I asked to speak to the manager and very politely asked if he could remove it. No go, he simply said "it's policy" and walked off leaving my mouth open. Totally unprofessional!!

Shogun is a great price to go for good food and a good time. All your food is cooked in front of you by a friendly and energetic cook who will do tricks with eggs, fire, butter, knives, and shrimp. Not only is the presentation fun and exciting, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The filet mignon is flavorful, juicy, and tender and is well accented by the "white sauce" (as is almost everything else. This sauce is amazing). The shrimp are some of the best I've ever had. I've never gone here with anyone who didn't enjoy their meal thoroughly. I go to school in New York City and despite all that New York has to offer I often find myself wishing I could eat at Shogun in BG. This is truly one of the best places to eat in Bowling Green. It's great for all occasions whether you are looking to entertain, impress, or just eat some good food.

For BG residents, this is a local fave. It is a nice place to meet up with friends, but do not be intimidated, they are going to prepare the food right in front of you. The sushi menu is decent, order just at the bar. The servers are excellent, as arethe chefs, they will keep you entertained and laughing. Beware if it is your first-time they are going to throw shrimp at your open mouth. All the dinners are great, no matter what you eat. I always have leftovers, they pride themselves in making you a takehome foil-animal, purse, or phallis. You must try the "whitesauce" on everything, they always give me the whole container and let me pour it myself because I love it so much. Great place to take your parents when they are visiting you at WKU, or great B-day place.
